PS. We've had a busy weekend getting this up so it still needs some work so apologies, if you spot any fantastically obvious typo's etc you can contact the new LARGER TEAM at hello@riotrebuild.co.uk

Big chages are afoot, we have now got the help of some more people our end behind the scenes as Nick, Julie and Myself were unable to keep pace.

We will be moving to a new site and email addresses asap that will hopefully mean we are able to respond quicker and handle things much more effectively.

This should be happening within the next 24hours and be live by the start of Monday, until then hang in there.

Thanks to everyone who has got in touch offering support and a bit thank you to those offering donations at this early stage.

    Lee Wilshire

Things are starting to pick up pace with the support we are getting from all over the place.

As a result of the huge response to the site I've had to rethink a little of how things work from the early, hastily sketched out ideas. These changes will take place mostly over this weekend and should enable things to run much smoother, particularly when I'm not at a desk.

The two main changes are firstly, that we will be migrating to some new email addresses over this weekend for both Nick and I personally and some other addresses to enable multiple people to respond to the different incoming emails at the same time.

Secondly I have now modified the professional supporters page so that the list is no longer filled in by me manually and it is now an automated web form and spreadsheet that should make things far more efficiant, especially when I am not in front of a computer. If you have already posted your details, the existing list will remain and be migrated into the new spreadsheet when I get time.

I hope the changes make the site more efficiant and helpful. As always, I'm always open to new ideas and suggestions on how to improve things further, just get in touch.

    Lee

As some of you may be aware MyBuilder.com have well over 300 tradesmen who are willing and able to help out with the rebuild process.

They have tradesmen ready and willing to offer at least half a day of free labour but need help finding the most important projects. We are working with the guys at MyBuilder as closely as we can to link up with projects in the most effective way.

If you want to contact MyBuilder directly go to their website: mybuilder.com or tweet them @my_builder.

Firstly let us thank all those who have given their support, we have been humbled by the response. The task at hand is great, but with the support of the community and local experts, the damage can be repaired and confidence can be restored. Alot is going on behind the scenes with local government and other bodies to make sure those that are in need are served best. We kindly ask that you all hold tight!! Your services are required, your help is essential.

Keep spreading the word, and please continue the fantastic support you are providing for the communities affected.

    From us all :)

Aaron is a barber in Tottenham, and at the age of 89 he has become quite the local ever present. Sadly, due to the destructive riots and a lack of insurance, he faces closing his barbers for good. He needs help from local handymen. Damage at this stage is not fully known by us, so a joiner may well be useful also.
